Who we are
DISK is a Catholic, English-medium international school serving students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. Our US-aligned curriculum brings academic rigor together with formation, service, creativity, and a global perspective shared by students from 15+ nationalities across five continents.

Our history
What began as a small act of service grew into an enduring international school community in southern Taiwan.


1954
The school traces its beginning to January 1954, when Dominican Sisters began tutoring two American children in Kaohsiung.
1956
The growing school formally opened on Tzu Chiang 1st Road, welcoming more families into its caring learning community.
1967
DISK moved to its present campus on Chung Hua 1st Road in Kaohsiung's Gushan District.
1985
A new Academic Building expanded the school's capacity for learning, community, and student life.
2015
The school adopted the name Dominican International School Kaohsiung, honoring its roots and global outlook.
Today
DISK serves learners from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 in a diverse, English-medium Catholic community.
