The Dominican International School Kaohsiung (DISK) is pleased to announce a public pool of teaching positions for the upcoming School Year 2025-2026. DISK is a Catholic, private, and English-medium international school in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. The school provides education for foreign students, regardless of race, color, and creed, from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12, including Advanced Placement. DISK follows a US-aligned curriculum, which includes Religious Studies to prepare students for higher education abroad. In our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality education, we are seeking passionate and dedicated educators to join our international team, which fosters an inclusive and enriching learning experience for our students from various backgrounds.
We invite applications from qualified candidates for the following positions:
- Early Years Teachers (bilingual in English and Mandarin)
- Elementary Homeroom Teachers (capable of teaching English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies)
- English/EAL Teachers
- Science and Mathematics Teachers
- Language Teachers (Japanese, Chinese, etc.)
- Computer Science / ICT Teachers
- Music and Arts Teachers
- Humanities/Business Teachers
- Student Support Specialists (with Socio-emotional Counseling and/or Special Education background)
Successful candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in teaching and education.
Additional Requirements and Information:
- Preference will be given to applicants with a Teaching Certificate or those currently enrolled in a Teacher Certificate Program
- Mentor support is available for candidates pursuing teacher certification
- Formal classroom teaching experience is expected
- Candidates must demonstrate:
o Dedicated team spirit
o Excellent communication skills
o Respect for the Catholic faith - Fluent English is required for Homeroom Teaching positions
Compensation and Application Details: - Remuneration is competitive and based on qualifications and experience
